UNIT 12 - Wishes - WOULD LIKE

BIRTHDAY WISH 

I would like to celebrate by not working - and drink wine instead* (*miesto toho)!

Sometimes we go to a restaurant, but usually we just visit our friends. I would like flowers for my birthday!

I would like to have a good dinner at home!
I would also like to have nice weather on my birthday!

I would like to have a day off and spend it with my family. At the end of the day I would like a good book and a cup of mint* tea. (*mätový)

I would like good health and time, nothing else. But I also like nice surprises!
I would like to a have a lunch with my family and see some great comedy at the theatre in the evening.
I would like to go on a trip to Salzburg, Austria - and relax in the oldes coffeehouse and have the original Mozartkugeln.

For my birthday, I would like to have a garden party. For a rainy day, I would just have a party tent!

I can't watch some Spielberg's movies (e.g. Shindler's list), but I believe I can watch his other movies (E.T, Indiana Jones)

I can't play the guitar, but I believe I can learn it!

I can't play basketball, but I believe I can learn it!

I can't play the piano, but I believe I can learn it!

I can't play football, but I can play cards!

I can't go windsurfing, but I can swim!

I can't be at English on Tuesday, but I believe I can be there on Thursday!

I can't clean the flat today (I have other things to do) - but I believe I can do it ASAP* (*as soon as possible)

I can't afford to buy a new car, but I believe I can still (stále) use the old one.

I can't believe I can learn to sing!

I can't make all great wooden things, but I believe I can make a great wooden rocking horse!

Believe it or not* (*verte alebo nie), I can skate!

I can't speak Spanish, but I believe I can learn it

I can't ride a horse, but I believe I can ride a bicycle.

I can't read music, but I believe I can learn it!

I can't go on holiday to High Tatras this month, but I believe I can go in July.

I can't cook a cheesecake today, I can cook it on a Saturday.

I can't help my friend this Sunday, but I believe can help her on Monday.

I can't reconstruct my flat but I believe I can decorate it. 

I can't have a wonderful holiday this year, but I can have a wonderful holiday next year!
